KOCHI/COCHIN

Baru balik dari Kochi/Cochin baru-baru ni. Tak tau pulak mana satu yang betul, tapi dua-dua perkataan tu wujud. Search kat google pun dua-dua perkatan tu wujud. Saya lebih suka gunakan perkataan Kochi. Ianya bukan ibu negeri Kerala tetapi bandar terbesar di Kerala dan most developing. Masa pergi, musim hujan dah kat hujung-hujung. Kami pergi beberapa orang.

Disebabkan pernah tinggal kat India selama beberapa tahun, sudah 'expect"' apa yang sepatutnya tetapi kawan yang sorang tu 'expect something special like Malaysia'. Surelah tak adanya. Tapi saya tengok banyak perubahan berbanding dengan dulu..umpamanya dah semakin kurang teksi Ambasador..susah nak jumpa. Yang banyak moden car dari TATA product. Sangat lasak..saya kata lasak sebab jalannya lubang-lubang..kereta TATA ni maintain je. Macam-macam jenis dari termurah ke termahal. Semakin banyak kereta import..kalau dulu SUzuki je...sekarang dah macam-macam dari BMW ke Honda...even Porche....remember...jalannya banyak lubang dan corner-corner... Bukan sebab jalan bengkok2...tapi sebab nak elak kereta kat depan.Pandai betul depa elak..ada sekali tu..elak punya elak..tengok bas kat depan. Pemandu tu selamba je, elak lagi. Kami kat belakang ni terjerit-jerit. Agaknya kalau kat MAlaysia..dah ke hospital.

Satu yang saya kata berbeza..soal keselamatan. Kalau kat Kuching atau mana-mana kat Malaysia, even kat Kota Bharu, kalau makan jangan sekali-kali letak beg tangan kat kerusi. Mesti letak kat riba. jalan2 pun kena pegang beg kuat-kuat.

Nasi beryani! Kalau tak makan tak sah. Dah la banyak...sedap..ayam 2 ketul...murah pulah. Kami makan untuk 7 orang kaklau convert ianya bernilai untuk seorang makan nasi beryani kat Malaysia. Jumlah nasinya 2.kali ganda jumlah nasi kat Malaysia..bayangkan saya boleh habis makan!. Sebelum makan order fruit salad dulu...sedap. Air lemon juice atau Mosambique juice. Atau apa apa juice yang available....Totally PURE..no ice added. Cuma ada sugar..tell them little sugar or no sugar. Depa suka makan sweet sangat. Sebab tu India adalah yang kedua terbesar dunia rakyat mereka mengidap kencing manis selepas China. Sebelum ni India teramai DM. Lepas tu kalau masih lapar, pesan icecream. Kami tak sempat sampai icecream..kenyang gila dah.

Yang bestnya, selepas makan nasi beryani kat India, you tak rasa mengantuk atau lemah badan. Tak macam macam makan kat Malaysia, lepas makan nasi beryani mengantuk gila, badan lemah macam lepas makan ubat batuk yang ada codein. Any way enjoy the picture...

GOING BACK...

Airport Kota Bharu

A lot of people going back to their destination including me...

Masjid Muhammadi masih seperti dulu. Tahun ini menjadi tempat Sultan Kelantan Sultan Mohammad V menunaikan solat sunat Aidil Fitri

Tapi kesian juga, kami tunggu lagi sampai bulan 4. Akhir bulan 4, kami nak tebang. Tiba-tiba seminggu sebelum habis bulan 4, ianya mula mengeluarkan jantung...akhirnya setelah 8 bulan menanamnya...

Oilspill:

2010 Jan. 23, Port Arthur, Texas: The oil tanker Eagle Otome and a barge collide in the Sabine-Neches Waterway, causing the release of about 462,000 gallons of crude oil. Environmental damage was minimal as about 46,000 gallons were recovered and 175,000 gallons were dispersed or evaporated, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

2010 April 24, Gulf of Mexico: The Deepwater Horizon, a semi-submersible drilling rig, sank on April 22, after an April 20th explosion on the vessel. Eleven people died in the blast. When the rig sank, the riser—the 5,000-foot-long pipe that connects the wellhead to the rig—became detached and began leaking oil. In addition, U.S. Coast Guard investigators discovered a leak in the wellhead itself. As much as 60,000 barrels of oil per day were leaking into the water, threatening wildlife along the Louisiana Coast. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano declared it a "spill of national significance." BP (British Petroleum), which leased the Deepwater Horizon, is responsible for the cleanup, but the U.S. Navy supplied the company with resources to help contain the slick. Oil reached the Louisiana shore on April 30, affected about 125 miles of coast. By early June, oil had also reached Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. It is the largest oil spill in U.S. history
